The structure of oil pump can be divided into two kinds: gear and rotor oil pump. Gear oil pumps are widely used owing to its simple structure, long service life and high pumping oil pressure. Rotor oil pump has a complex shape and is often made of powder metallurgy. This kind of oil pump has the same advantages as gear ones with compact structure and small volume.
The function of the oil pump is to raise the oil to a certain pressure and then forcefully press it to the moving surface of various parts of the engine. Lubricating oil suction tube is the first passage for oil to enter the lubrication system, usually immersed in the bottom of oil pan. The oil is sucked in and pressurized to the surface of various components through the oil pump.
The function of the oil suction connection gasket is to ensure the sealing of combustion chamber, prevent air and water leak of cylinder and water jacket, and ensure that coolant and oil flowing to cylinder head from engine body do not leak. The purpose of oil filler cap is to add oil and protect the oil tank. The oil filler mark is actually easy to identify, located on a lid with an oil pot symbol near the engine. When you want to open the cap, you should slowly loosen it in the opposite direction and then change the oil. When reinstalling cap, lubricate it with the oil on dipstick, and finally screw it smoothly.
