The exhaust turbocharger mainly consists of a pump impeller and a turbine, they are connected by a shaft, which is the rotor. The turbocharger is actually an air compressor that increases the air intake by compressing it. It uses the inertial impulse of waste gas to drive the turbine inside the turbine chamber, which in turn drives a coaxial impeller that compresses the air sent by air filter pipe, making it pressurized and enter the cylinder.
As the engine speed increases, the speed of turbine and waste gas discharging also increase synchronously, and the impeller compresses more air into cylinder. An enhancement in air pressure and density can burn more fuel, and correspondingly increasing the amount of fuel and adjusting the engine speed can raise the output power of the engine.
