The cylinder block is the basic component and framework of the engine, and also the basic component during the overall assembly of the engine. The role of the cylinder block is to support and ensure that the piston, connecting rod, crankshaft and other moving parts work in the exact position; to ensure that the engine air exchange, cooling and lubrication and provide installation of various auxiliary systems, components, and engines.
The cylinder block has a box and complex shape, thin walls due to its function. There are several machined sockets in the upper part of the block for the installation of cylinder liner. According to the working principle of the engine, the stress situation of the cylinder block is very complex, requiring sufficient strength, stiffness, wear and vibration resistance. Therefore, there are high requirements for the material of the cylinder block. Our engine cylinder block adopts HT200, HT250 gray cast iron, alloy cast iron and aluminum alloy with integrated design, which eliminates the occurrence of water and oil leakage of engine.
